Project Description
This residence is a thoughtfully designed home for three generations, blending openness and functionality in its spatial arrangement. The design focuses on creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces while accommodating the diverse needs of a multi-generational family. The house is arranged in an L-shaped layout with a compact footprint, allowing for a substantial portion of the 9000 sq ft plot to remain as open green space. A central courtyard and semi-open verandah enhance the spatial flow, filling the interiors with natural light and providing vibrant communal areas. The hovering upper levels maximize usable space while maintaining a minimal ground-level impact, creating a dynamic architectural form.
The interior spaces are organized to encourage fluidity and versatility. The journey begins with a compact foyer leading into a vestibule that offers views of a small courtyard. Key living areas, including the formal drawing room and the living space, are oriented to overlook the lush outdoors. Sliding doors between the living and drawing rooms allow for adaptable configurations. Functional areas like the dining space, kitchen, and parents' bedroom are strategically placed to ensure ease of access. Upstairs, private zones cater to individual preferences, with bedrooms, a cozy lounge, and an art studio that extends to a terrace overlooking the greenery. Outdoor decks beneath the hovering slab provide a perfect venue for gatherings, blending comfort with nature-inspired living.
