Project Description
The Badari Residence is a thoughtfully designed home on a compact 2400 sq ft urban plot, balancing intimacy and sociability. The layout separates personal, private spaces from congregational areas that foster interaction among family and friends. Conceptualized as a series of architectural episodes, the design delights with its intricate details and cohesive spatial flow. At the heart of the home lies a double-height living space that integrates the living, dining, kitchen, prayer room, and an exterior deck. Overlooked by an internal balcony and bridge, this dynamic central area ensures connectivity between the levels, creating a cozy and interactive hub. A warm and eclectic palette of colors, textures, and materials animates this space, enriching the family’s daily experiences.
The residence’s bold façade is a striking composition of sculptural and material elements. The master bedroom features a void framed by earthy terracotta and draped in a suspended rough marble screen, which houses a lush garden. This green deck bridges the interiors and the street, softening the home’s urban presence. A slatted window screen introduces a rhythmic pattern while maintaining privacy. The terrace, secluded from the street’s hustle, is designed for relaxation and entertainment. Featuring a Jacuzzi, open deck, and home theater, it is bordered by a raised green wall and slatted roof, offering privacy and tranquility in this urban retreat.
