Project Description
The homes, designed for two brothers, are set in a rapidly urbanizing area, with architecture that reflects their evolving lifestyle. Upon entering, a picturesque pergola frames the residence, setting the tone for the design. The pergola is crafted with clay jali walls and metal beams, lined with greenery and providing space for creepers to grow. The entrance path leads to a central lawn surrounded by the two homes and a clubhouse, designed with locally sourced Sadarahalli granite and grass pavers to promote water permeability. The design integrates two distinct terracotta jali patterns, casting a beautiful interplay of light and shade, while the spacious layout incorporates a variety of materials and finishes that emphasize the connection between the built environment and nature.
The homes are distinct in their architectural experience, with the South East house featuring a horizontal, flatter form, and the South West house standing taller with double-height volumes. The second house includes a roof garden with a skylight, offering expansive views and a central lawn. The main entrance exudes warmth through a combination of wood accents and white interiors, with a minimal color palette that highlights the space's scale. The interiors are expansive, with large rooms designed to amplify the sense of space, and an extendable living room that connects both homes, creating a versatile multipurpose hall. The design follows Vastu principles, ensuring balance and harmony in the layout.
