Project Description
Nestled amidst picturesque rice fields, this residence embraces nature with an open and inviting design. Inspired by traditional South Indian homes, the house exudes warmth through its architectural elements, such as sloping roofs that not only enhance interior grandeur but also protect against harsh southern climates. A reverse slope in the living area ensures uninterrupted views of the lush north garden, while the open-plan layout fosters seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity. The integration of a courtyard further enriches the experience, bringing sunlight and rain indoors while maintaining a cool and conditioned atmosphere.
Every aspect of the design reflects a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional styles, from the architecture to furniture adorned with Indian art and materials. Visual transitions are thoughtfully crafted with screens, creating a harmonious flow between spaces while preserving privacy. The approach path is marked by grand palm trees, leading visitors to a tranquil water installation featuring a winding waterway and sculptural cow spouts symbolizing the Triveni Sangama. This project is a masterful blend of cultural richness and modern functionality, offering breathtaking vistas and an immersive connection to nature.
