Project Description
Designed as a sophisticated lifestyle home, this project features two distinct units centered around a spacious central courtyard. The primary unit accommodates formal and informal living spaces on the lower level, with bedrooms positioned above for privacy. The secondary unit, or “Outhouse,” functions as an entertainment hub, complete with a gymnasium, sauna, changing rooms, and service areas. To the north, a monolithic white compound wall encloses a private garden with the potential to evolve into a gridded orchard, while the south side opens to the central courtyard, offering seamless connections between spaces.
The design balances aesthetics and functionality, with a west-facing façade that minimizes heat gain through its heavy composition and limited fenestrations. A narrow opening between the main unit and the outhouse provides a striking glimpse of the elevated courtyard, which features a sunken barbeque area and an infinity-edge pool. The courtyard’s layout integrates the living and bar areas in an “L” formation, fostering a sense of flow and connectivity. On the first floor, a taller cubic volume clad in seasoned hardwood overlooks the pool, with a 15-foot-tall window inviting natural light and verdant views into the bedroom, enhancing the serene and luxurious ambiance.
