Project Description
The Govardhan Villa is designed with simplicity at its core, blending contemporary interiors with a seamless connection to the crafted landscape. The layout is based on two principal axes: the east-west axis, serving as the central circulation spine from the entrance to the staircase, and the north-south axis, which enhances visual connectivity within and beyond the residence. Guided by Vaastu principles, spaces are thoughtfully placed, with the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom aligned in the southeast, north, and southwest, respectively. At the heart of the home lies the dining area, a double-height space that brings in natural light and fosters visual and vocal connections across the house.
Despite utilizing most of the buildable area, the design maximizes greenery by integrating vegetation along the side margins and strategically placed courts. These courts serve as leisure spaces and extend the interior experience outward, connecting the living and dining areas to lush northern and southern landscape pockets. The staircase, accompanied by a landscaped court, enhances the sense of openness and continuity across levels. On the upper floors, terraces, planter beds, and expansive windows further emphasize the home’s theme
