Project Description
This residence, set on a serene 1-acre parcel, is thoughtfully designed around two majestic Jamun trees that form the heart of its East and West courtyards. The East Court, surrounded by public spaces such as formal and informal lounges, an entry lobby, and a puja room, is a vibrant focal point for gatherings. In contrast, the West Court offers a private sanctuary, bordered by the master bedroom, master den, and guest bedroom, creating a tranquil retreat. A striking limestone-clad wall extends from the entry lobby, providing both privacy and a guiding element to the entrance experience, seamlessly blending functionality with design. Floor-to-ceiling glass thresholds connect the indoors with the lush greenery, bringing the canopy of the twin trees into the heart of the home.
The architecture balances modernity and tradition, with deep, shaded terraces and porches lined by custom-made steel columns and hardwood-clad fins, evoking a timeless Indian aesthetic. The double-height informal lounge, centrally placed to overlook the eastern court, offers breathtaking views of the expansive Jamun canopy. On the upper floor, a peninsula-like lounge and its deep covered terrace provide a panoramic experience, uniting the home with its verdant surroundings. This harmonious blend of thoughtful spatial planning and natural integration results in a living environment that feels both contemporary and rooted in nature.
