Great Design Begins With a Simple Conversation - Let’s Talk!

Project Description

Located on a vast 3-hectare plot, one of the city's most significant green spaces, this house posed a unique challenge in our early architectural careers. The site, rich in flora and fauna, required careful consideration of its natural surroundings, with a focus on preserving the existing trees that acted as homes to a diverse array of birds and mammals. The first step in the design process was a detailed topographic and tree survey, which served as a diagnostic tool to guide the intervention.

The design revolves around a square-shaped volume, measuring 25 meters per side, with a central perforation that incorporates one of the existing trees into the heart of the home. This tree becomes the focal point of the house, surrounded by 1,300 m² of covered space and 700 m² of terraces and swimming pools. The concept embraces transparency and visual fluidity, blending the interior with the surrounding nature, ensuring that the home remains an integral part of the landscape while accommodating the needs of a large family and their love for music, joy, and social gatherings.
