Project Description
The Connect Villa project is designed with the guiding principle of "returning to reality" to create spaces that foster connection—both among family members and with nature. Serving a family of four, including parents, two sons, and grandparents, the design embodies simplicity and harmony, catering to the owner's love for nature and a grounded lifestyle. The architecture avoids excessive decoration, focusing instead on creating an environment where inhabitants can fully immerse in their surroundings, without feeling deprived or overwhelmed by extravagant materials. The aim is to provide just enough—a space where family members feel connected to reality and to each other.
The house is thoughtfully positioned back from the road, designed in an L-shape that embraces a central swimming pool, offering residents views of the water from various rooms. Skylights and well-placed windows bring natural light deep into the home, creating a sense of openness while maintaining privacy for each bedroom. The clever use of skylights, including those above the stairs, ensures natural light flows throughout the home without compromising privacy. The layout avoids shared walls between bedrooms, further enhancing the sense of personal space while fostering connections across the house. By balancing spatial density and emptiness, the design offers a living space that supports happiness and sustainability, allowing family members to thrive together in a peaceful, nature-connected home.
