Project Description
This four-bedroom home, situated on a typical urban site with an east-facing orientation, is designed with a clear focus on functionality and integration with nature. The ground floor accommodates the car parks, home office, help quarters, and entrance lobby. The first floor is the heart of the home, featuring a double-height family space, formal living room, kitchen, and dining area. These rooms are organized around a central green deck, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors.
The upper levels contain the four bedrooms and a multipurpose space that extends to a shaded deck. Set on a 2400 sqft plot, the home appears to be snugly wedged into its urban context, with the building's exterior reflecting this tight fit. The facade is sculpted to evoke the image of a chiseled stone block, with vertical ribs running across it. These ribs not only add visual texture but also serve to cut the direct glare of the sun, allowing the soft eastern light to filter through. The stone pattern and angular geometry of the building emphasize the dynamic 'wedge' shape, further enhancing the modern aesthetic of the residence.
